How to add your Business to Google Maps

  1. Open your Google account. Clicking the link will open a new window in your browser.
  2. In the Google Local Business Center page, click on the link "Add new listing"
  3. Complete the registration form, providing all the necessary information. As you add your details you will notice the details appearing on the map. To add more than one phone number, click on the link provided. Please be aware that Google will verify your listing so make sure any details you give are correct
  4. If the marker is not showing in quite the right place you can move the marker into the correct position for your business. To do this click on "Fix incorrect marker location"
  5. Click on "Next" at the bottom of the page.
  6. Complete all the information being requested but if you don't have it to hand, you can always add it later on.
  7. Once completed, click on "Submit" at the bottom of the page.
  8. Google will now give you three different options on how you can validate your listing. Choose the option that works best for you and click on "Finish" at the bottom of the page. (The quickest way to validate is often by phone/mobile)
  9. If you have chosen to be contacted by phone or mobile, you should soon receive a message that has a five digit pin number. Once you have this, enter it into the area on the validation screen and click "Go". The page should update with a "Thank You" page.

Note: Your map on Google can take a little time to be added. This can take around 24-48 hours but you have now successfully added your business to Google maps.
